Explanation of the Aggressive Growth strategy
The strategy presents another kind of long/short style with investing to equities expected to experience a high acceleration in growth of earnings per share. Most often managers seek to identify small companies within specific industry sectors that expected to be rapidly growing. While aggressive growth funds tend to be long-biased, they often hedge market risks by shorting overpriced stocks or indexes.
