Opportunistic strategy explanation
This is a variety of the long/short category when managers take both long and short positions, depending on their market view. In fact, the opportunistic strategy means no particular strategy at all, since the investment approach changes from strategy to strategy as opportunities arise. Fund’s positions may drift between long and short bias, emerging or international markets, and across sectors. Managers can use several investing styles, and are not limited to any asset classes.
